THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Idaho State USBC Women's Bowling Association offers no less that $1500.00 this year to each award
recipient.
The Scholarship must be used within three years from the time the award is given, or the funds revert back to
the Idaho State USBC WBA, Inc. Scholarship Fund. (Unless military service prevents its use).
The Scholarship will be paid directly to an accredited university/college or an accredited vocational schoool
of your choice, to be used for tuition, books, etc.
SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
1. Candidates must be female and bowling in a sanctioned league.
2. Candidates must be amateur as defined by the USBC. Only those who have not bowled for money or
merchandise prizes in accordance with USBC rules are eligible.
3. The recipient cannot be a member of any professional bowling group at the time she is selected.

JUNIOR YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP
1. Applicants shall be girls under the age of 16. She must be currently participating in a USBC Youth
sanctioned league.
2. Applications will be available from the State Officers, Area Directors and the local Association Manager.
3. The number of scholarships awarded, will be no more than two (2) scholarships in each of four areas
(following the USBC Guidelines) for a maximum of eight (8) each year.
4. The amount of each scholarship shal be $50.00.
5. Applications must be submitted by the applicant to the Scholarship Committee by Februay 1. The
committee will meet at a central location to determine recipients.
6. Scholarship recipients will be announced at the Annual meeting of the Idaho State USBC WBA. and may
be presented on a local level by the Area Director or local Youth Association Manager.
7. Applications will be judged on the basis of neatness, completion of the essay question(s), and content.
Example: letters of recommendation from teachers and coaches.
