Raymond Edward LaPointe, 77, of Twin Falls, passed away Sunday

Raymond was born in Putnam, Conn., the fourth of four children to
Victor and Asalita Benoit LaPointe

Raymond joined the Navy early and served in California and all over

and to this union was born three children, daughter, Ann; and sons,
Don and Victor.  They shared 31 happy years together.

He worked in the food service industry, managing many restaurants
and cater-ing services.

Raymond always maintained close ties to his family.  He enjoyed
coaching softball, football and basketball, and his family was blessed
to have him as their coach as well.  He loved playing golf and bowling;
this past June, he bowled in the Seniors National and placed 12th of
52.

Survivors include his daughter, Ann (Dan) Shepherd of Twin Falls;
son, Don (Melinda) LaPointe of Gardenville, Nev., six grandchildren,
Angel, Natelle, Joseph, Cassandra, Jeremy and Jodi; and six
great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Goldie; and son, Victor.

All services have been entrusted to the care of Parke's Magic Valley
Funeral Home of Twin Falls.  The family will hold a private time of
remembrance at a later time.

Add on: We will drop that Raymond stuff since we all knew him as Ray.

When he won the "Super Senior" Division at the Idaho State Senior
Championship Bowling Tournament in November of 2006, Ray became
qualified to attend the National Senior Tournament.  Ray was so
excited and could hardly wait for the event to take place. When he
came back from the National, you talk about excited!  Ray elaborated
on how much fun he had, how many wonderful people he had met and
how the tournament directors were so great.  Ray was a truly great
representative for the bowlers in the State of Idaho.
"Ray, we will miss you."
